KIDLIT WRITER

Ms. Straughan also writes about dance for children and industry professionals. 

Her articles appear in publications including A Ballet Education's A Ballet Magazine Issue 23 and digital arts magazine Scene4's Issue 257 Vol. 21.  In 2023 she also sold a non-fiction story to Highlights High Five Magazine.

Ms. Straughan completed the 2021 Nevada SCBWI Mentor Program with her ballet-based middle grade manuscript and participated in SCBWI's Southern Breeze Mentorship 2022 as a co-author in picture books.
